Karnataka Premier League is an Indian Twenty20 Cricket League recognized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) in August, 2009. The domestic cricket competition was held on the lines of the most trendy Indian Premier League and was held from September 9, 2009 till September 23, 2009. The league was run under the guidelines of KSCA president Mr. Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadeyar and Mr. Brijesh Patel, the KSCA Secretary. The league comprised eight franchisee teams representing various cities in Karnataka.

The idea with the KPL is to ensure that each of the eight teams have their zonal identities protected just as in the IPL where the city name has to form part of the team name as a prefix or suffix.

• KPL became a successful podium for some fresh faces and young cricketers.
• Rural players got a chance to play day and night matches, under lights, watched by crowds.
• Senior players like Jagadeesh Arunkumar, David Johnson, Sunil Joshi, and Anand Katti startled the audience with their dazzling performances.
• Provident Bangalore, representing Bangalore Rural zone were the winners in the KPL – Season I.
• J. Arunkumar was awarded the Man of the Series for KPL – Season I.

The concept of Video Analysis is new but pioneering and effective. A detailed analysis is made on the technicalities of the players using their videos and by loading them in the Technique Analysis Software. The coach can guide his players by showing them the videos and help them in enhancing their performances. The video feedbacks provide effective solutions and set of parameters for the players to excel well.

During KPL – Season I, SportingMindz offered Video Analysis Services to Six teams out of Eight teams in total. Out of Six teams to our credit, five teams finished on the top of the table. There was a Performance Analyst appointed by SportingMindz, in each team to provide regular inputs, feedbacks to the coaches, players & their teams about game strategy and performances of the players in all the sectors of the game.

SportingMindz offered the complete data storage of all the Karnataka Premier League matches to six teams and provided the information to the respective teams as and when required. This helped the teams to access not only to the matches played by that team but also for all the matches in the Karnataka Premier League. The data was useful for the coaches as well as the players to strategize their game against the opponents and go on to play better cricket. This also helped the teams to get valuable inputs about the players.

Apart from on-air graphics, SportingMindz was also responsible for managing On Air Advertising and Live Graphics during the entire KPL – Season I, which includes ad management task as well.
